What is AVID?: What does AVID do?

Have you ever needed help to get your grades up? Or improve your study and homework habits? AVID might be the right elective for you!

AVID has impacted many students’ grades. A 7th grade student, Azucena Sanchez said, “I was starting off the year with like, C’s, and once AVID started doing the tutorials and everything, it started helping me more, my grades are like A’s now.”

The same students mentioned some of the helpful things in AVID, “Tutorials and Grade checks so I know where my grades are.”

AVID also helps you make new friends. Mrs. Johnson said, “I think the relationships they make with each other, they become a support system for each other, they become friends, and then when they are in their other classes, they have somebody who they can ask questions to, and they have somebody they can trust”.

AVID is a good elective for people who are willing to put in the work to improve their grades, improve their study habits, and overall be a better student.
